No matter how much you try to ignore it or deny it, summer vacation is about to come to an end. Most schools are launching their new academic years in just a few weeks.

One group of students who just might be psyched about that is the Class of 2009. The light is at the end of the educational tunnel for them, and next spring they get to walk across that stage and get their degree.

Senior year is intense, with many competing demands for your time and a number of decisions to be made. But even though the official launch of your career is a few months away, you do not want to wait until the last minute to start thinking about your job search.

Here is a checklist of some simple ideas that should help prepare you for the big push to find a job at graduation.

Few things are as exciting as making the leap into the professional world after you graduate. There is SO much to think about: What kind of job should you take? What career goals will you create for yourself? What kind of work atmosphere do you prefer? Will you commute? Telecommute? Bike to work?

And maybe most importantly, you have to decide whether the perfect job is worth relocating for. You may find that the best jobs require you to move to a new town or city. In addition to all of the research and thought you have invested into finding a job, you may also want to consider looking into all of the cities your career might take you to.
